TiPS Training

TiPS stands for Training for Intervention ProcedureS. It is a skills-based training program designed to prevent intoxication, drunk driving and underage drinking. TIPS gives individuals the knowledge and confidence they need to recognize potential alcohol-related problems and intervene to prevent alcohol-related tragedies. TiPS helps to create safer, and more responsible environments, and reduces alcohol-related harm in our community.

Would you like to become TIPS certified? It’s a great way to serve your company and your community! We offer FREE vouchers (to those who live in Hot Springs County) to receive TIPS training online. The following courses are available:

TIPS WYOMING ON-PREMISE ALCOHOL SERVER TRAINING: The on-premise program is a 4-hour training designed for servers at restaurants, bars, hotel, in-store tastings, or other establishments where alcohol is consumed on the premises. Participants learn strategies that ensure responsible alcohol service, promote professionalism, and enhance customer service skills. (This course meets state alcohol seller/server training requirements.)

TIPS OFF-PREMISE ALCOHOL SERVER TRAINING: The off-premise program is a 3-hour training addressing the sale of alcohol at grocery stores, liquor stores, convenience stores, and package stores. Clerks learn strategies for preventing illegal alcohol sales to underage and/or intoxicated patrons. (This educational course offers TIPS scenario-based training, but does not fulfill state alcohol training requirements.)

TIPS OFF-PREMISE AND ALCOHOL DELIVERY TRAINING: The off-premise and delivery program is a 3-hour training addressing issues related to off premise sales plus any establishment that offers delivery or takeout services. Sellers and delivery personnel learn strategies for preventing illegal alcohol sales or delivery to underage and/or intoxicated patrons. (This educational course offers TIPS scenario-based training, but does not fulfill state alcohol training requirements.)
